Meet at the Union Hall
Get ready for an incredible outdoor adventure!
We’re thrilled to invite everyone to a weekend of camping at Rancho Los Mochos (RLM) from Friday night to Sunday morning. This action-packed trip promises a fantastic blend of skill-building, outdoor fun, and the perfect chance for P88 AOL Scouts to see Troop life in action.
Agenda
- At RLM, we’ve lined up some amazing activities, including: Archery Hone your aim and hit the target!
- T415 scouts will be working on their Archery Merit Badges Dutch Oven Cooking Discover the art of campfire cuisine.
- T415 will be finishing up their cooking merit badges Pioneering Construction Build and create like true outdoor engineers. (Possibly)
- Tomahawk Throwing For a bit of frontier-style fun!
We’ll be staying at the Blue Oak campsite, a fantastic spot conveniently located near the toilet and shower block for everyone’s comfort.
Important Notes for AOL Families
All AOL parents are welcome to join, but it’s not required. This is an excellent opportunity for your AOL Scout to experience a night away from home while enjoying the support and camaraderie of their peers. Of course, if your Scout isn’t ready to camp without you, we’d love to have you along!
Leadership Requirements: AOL dens are permitted to camp with a Troop as long as there are two registered Pack leaders present. We’ve got you covered: Randy and I (a registered Assistant Cubmaster for P88) will both be there to meet this requirement.
What to Bring
Scouts only need to bring their camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, backpack, etc.) and a mess kit (plates, utensils, and a cup) to eat and drink from.
The T415 Scouts will handle all the food, so no need to worry about meal prep!
This weekend is going to be a fun-filled, memorable experience and a unique chance for AOL Scouts to see how Troop camping works. We can’t wait to share this adventure with you and your Scouts! If you have any questions or concerns, please don/t hesitate to reach out to Jon.
