Join us for an exciting one-day Aviation Merit Badge Class at the Pacific Coast Air Museum, designed especially for Scouts youth! This immersive weekend experience lets Scouts earn their Aviation Merit Badge while exploring the world of flight in a real aviation environment.
This class follows the official Scouts merit badge requirements and combines fun, hands-on learning with real-world aviation experiences. Scouts will:
- Learn about different types of aircraft and how they fly.
- Explore the physics of flight and aircraft engines.
- Hear from guest speakers with aviation expertise.
- Go on tours of historical aircraft with experienced docents.
- Try hands-on activities, including aircraft riveting techniques.
- Finish with a graduation flight in a real airplane with an FAA-licensed pilot.
Registration
Registration fee is $89. Registration cut-off is 7 days before each class.
Fill out the sign-up form and follow the instruction.
Be sure to also fill out and return the Flying Permit, included with the registration fee.
