Meet at Union Hall at 7:30am on Saturday
We will be camping at Henry Coe State Park at Manzanita Point. While this is essentially a car camping trip, we will practice boiling water and other water purification methods using water from nearby Bass Pond (we will also bring potable water as a backup).
Scouts have started planning menus and will continue working on them, along with duty rosters, prior to camp.
One vehicle is allowed to drive into camp with gear, food, and water. A maximum of two vehicles are permitted, but we have only paid for one. If someone would like to cover the cost for a second vehicle, please let me know.
Reminder: Only currently registered leaders may attend this trip.
Itinerary
- We have the campsite reserved from Friday night through Sunday afternoon
- Scouts will hike approximately 6.5 miles to camp on the way in
What to Bring
- No packs are required unless a Scout is planning to hike the PCT this summer and would like the extra practice
- Class B uniform
