This summer, Scouts will take on a challenging and rewarding high-adventure backpacking trip through the Sierra Nevada. We will be backpacking from Sonora Pass to Carson Pass, covering roughly 10 miles per day through some truly gorgeous countryside.
Saturday, July 25 is reserved as a backup or spillover day in case the Scouts do not reach the planned distance during the trek. To prepare for this trip, training hikes and backpacking outings will be held in advance, and Scouts must demonstrate they can meet the required physical and skill standards before being approved to participate.
Final patrol selection for this trip will be made after the long training hike on May 2.
