Meet at the parking lot across from the Mountain Home Inn at 8am
We will be doing an 11–14 mile hike with approximately 2,800 feet of elevation gain on the Dipsea and Steep Ravine Trails. This hike is part of the training series for Scouts planning to join the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) trip this summer. Participation in this hike will count toward the required three training hikes (out of six total offered).
For Scouts preparing for the PCT trip
Please bring a full pack, ideally the one you plan to use on the PCT so you can get used to the fit and make adjustments as needed. Packs should include at least 6 liters of water plus the 10 essentials.
For Scouts not attending the PCT trip
If your scout knows for certain they will not be going on the PCT hike, a day pack with the 10 essentials will be fine.
